How the PickleFitter Rating works
The PickleFitter Rating is an Elo-style rating kept separately for singles, doubles and mixed. Every PPA Tour match since June 2023 moves the two sides' ratings toward each other based on who won and how expected that was: beating a higher-rated side gains more than beating a lower-rated one, and in doubles each player on a side moves by the same amount. We show it on a 40–99 scale, where 60 is the rating of a typical tour-level player and the very best sit in the high 90s.
A player is ranked in a discipline once they have at least ten rated matches in it and have played it in the current season. Season ratings on player pages are the rating at the end of that season. Peak is the highest rating a player has held.
It is not DUPR, which rates game-by-game across all levels, and not the PPA Tour's official ranking, which awards points by tournament finish. Where we show a PPA rank we say so. Records and titles count PPA Tour matches from June 2023, not full careers.
