Power (mph)
The ball speed a paddle produces on a standardised full drive, in miles per hour.
Power is measured as ball speed off a full swing in a controlled test. The range across paddles is narrower than it feels on court: most measure between about 54 and 58 mph, and the difference between a 'control' paddle and a 'power' paddle is a few miles per hour.
In our data, drive speed rises a little with swing weight and with Gen 3 and Gen 4 construction. The player's swing speed matters far more than the paddle.
