Paddle shape

The outline of the face: elongated, standard, wide body or hybrid.

Shape trades reach against sweet spot. Elongated paddles are longer and narrower, which adds reach and leverage for power and spin but moves the sweet spot up and shrinks it. Wide body paddles are shorter and wider, with the largest sweet spot and the highest twist weights. Standard and hybrid shapes sit in between.

The effect shows clearly in the measurements: wide body paddles average the highest twist weight in our database and elongated paddles the lowest.
