Twist weight
How much a paddle resists twisting in your hand on off-centre hits; the measured size of the sweet spot.
Twist weight is the moment of inertia about the paddle's long axis. When the ball lands toward the edge of the face, a paddle with a low twist weight rotates in your hand and the shot comes off weak or wide; a paddle with a high twist weight stays square and the shot is close to what a centre hit would give.
It is the best single number for forgiveness. Wide body shapes score highest because their mass sits farther from the centre line, and weight added at 3 and 9 o'clock raises twist weight more per gram than any other placement.
